GETTING TO HAILEY, SUN VALLEY AND KETCHUM

By Land:

Idaho State Highway 75 runs SE to NW through the city of Hailey. Ketchum lies 11 miles to the north, with Sun Valley one mile beyond. Twin Falls lies 75 miles to the south. Hailey is a 12 hour drive from San Francisco (one good book on tape), or a 16 hour drive from Los Angeles through Las Vegas.

By Air:

Friedman Memorial Airport is in Hailey (airport code: SUN) and is the only airport serving Ketchum and Sun Valley. From the west, Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air has direct flights from LAX, Seattle and Oakland. From the east, Delta services the area through Skywest Airlines out of Salt Lake City. Horizon Air (1-800-547-9308), SkyWest Airlines (1-800-453-9417). Car rental and taxi services are available at the airport.

Bus:
Sun Valley Stages offers scheduled shuttle connections between the Boise Airport (BOI) and the Wood River Valley. Sun Valley Express provides shuttle service between the Boise Airport and the Wood River Valley via vans that deliver passengers to their specific destinations. Teton Stage Lines offers charter motor coaches.

Getting around Hailey:
The Ketchum Area Rapid Transit (KART) system provides excellent free bus service throughout the Wood River Valley, with busses running every 20 minutes. (Phone: 208-726-7140)

Arriving from the south: Highway 75 turns into Main Street once in Hailey . . . stay on Main Street and turn right at Spruce Street (you will see restaurants on both the north and south corners . . . Chapala's and Zou 75). The featherBed Inn is at the first intersection (1st Avenue North and Spruce Street).
